Quick Instructions
The following is a brief summary of how to play the game. These Quick
Instructions can also be obtained from the Main Game Window by double clicking on the
balloons or selecting the Help menu item.
Object:
The object of the game is to obtain the highest score. Points are scored for
correctly guessing the identity of the biblical personality.
Scoring:
- 25 points are scored for a correct guess before the second clue is revealed
- 15 points are scored for a correct guess before the third clue is revealed
- 10 points are scored for a correct guess before the fourth clue is revealed
- 5 points are scored for a correct guess after all the clues have been revealed
Note: There is an option that will deduct 5 points for incorrect guesses.
Startup Window:
Select the number of players who will be playing this game OR
Click on the Resume Game button to see a list of games that can be restarted.
- Enter a name for each player or select a computer player from the drop-down
list for each player (for new games only).
- Select the point limit for this game (for new games only).
- Select or de-select any of the game options (for new games only).
- Click on the Start Game button or press <Enter> (for new games only).
Game Play:
To start the game, press <Enter> or click on the Do You Know pad on the right
side of the main game screen.
To attempt to answer, the player must click on the button below that player's
name or press the associated keyboard key (the associated keyboard key is
listed on the answer button for each player).
A player can only attempt to answer once per clue.
The first player to reach the total point limit for the game will be named the
winner and be given the opportunity to earn additional points in a Bonus Round.
Options:
During play, the following options can be turned on or off via the Options
menu:
- The animation of uncovering the clues
- Most of the sounds
- The timed answer option
- The incorrect answer penalty option
- The continuous play option
End of Game:
If a computer player wins, a game ends in a tie, or a game is saved to be
restarted later, the final screen will be displayed reflecting that information.
If a human player wins, the following will happen:
- The player will be given the option of playing a Bonus Round which consists of
a sequence of biblical events which must be put into the proper order.
- The player will have the option of displaying and/or printing an award
certificate.
